Sigh this blogger thing always says it's upload the photo and the photos are in a picasa account but they don't show up.
Oh well, I finally finished sewing my little girls green sweaters, I am not making any more sweaters I had way too much trouble with them stretching out.
I really have to do an inventory of what I have made to figure what I still need to make for the girls.
I am getting quite the KELLY collections, I have like 4 real Kellys and 1 fake kelly(she's a well made fake though not hollow bodied).
Well off to get the day going.

Sewing for the tiny girls is tough!
From clothes for romania |
Ok so I have been merrily sewing along for Dora and the Little Disney Princesses and you know doing a pretty good job, not a lot of problems.
So I decided that my new Barbie need a dress, sheesh it took me forever to get a dress sewn for her!
She finally has a dress, no picture I'll try to do that this weekend.
Today's picture is Miss Cinderella modeling one of her outfits.
I love this little jacket, the hat and scarf was crocheted my a friend of mine named Rose, she really looks adorable(she borrowed the jeans they do not really fit her!)
Going to be a really good day!

today will be busy
If I have a chance I will post some pictures.
After church I came home and fixed up a photography area in my sewing room, I used some navy crushed velvet for the backdrop and an old sewing machine for the table.
I got some pictures of Cindy, Arial the un-named baby and I think even Dora snuck in there.
You know that Dora is really growing on me.. good thing I have three. Al least one will be able to comfort me when the other girls go!

No Sewing Yesterday
Ok so the only sewing I did yesterday was sewing a couple of arms seams in a sweater for the dolly, I spent the rest of the time I had yesterday morning searching for some water soluble stabilizer that I knew I had. SIGH...took forever to find.
When I had time last night I took the now found stabilizer and cut a strip off the top.
Then I noticed the flip flops setting on my sewing machine and since I really wanted to watch the rest of the biggest loser, I decided to finish the flips flops. SO that'll be the end of my sewing till at least Friday or Maybe even Saturday.
When I figure out how to post pictures to the blog I'll add those later, of course I need to take pictures this weekend.
SIGH.. I'll just add that to the list, and a big thanks to Dorrie for the link to the American Girl patterns, I am printing those out.
Dorrie I am pretty sure that if you print them at 85% that they should fit the LDP's girls.
I have taken patterns for the American Girl dolls and made copies at 85% and usually they fit, it really depends of the ease you want in the garment, some things need to be 80%.

Dora Dress Up Doll
From clothes for romania |
I got a new doll Saturday, She's a Dora Dress Up doll, 15 inches tall of course she was naked and scared!
Her hair is still not in good shape I am afraid of course for pictures she's fine but in her current condition I couldn't send her to Romania, so I'll send the other 2 girls and this one will be rerooted(Some Day).
Been looking at websites that deal with the rerooting thing, so far all I have fiogured out is if you want it to last it'll take a long time or you can do the fast and dirty and try gluing it on the inside of the head,,, hmm something to think about.
Sewed another sweater last night and stretched out the hem really bad, hoping that steaming it will put it back in placed.

New Blog and Current Project
I am excited about sharing my current project with my blogger friends!
I am sending 5 dolls to an orphanage in Romania for Christmas this year.
These dolls I have found at various places, garage sales, thrifts stores and flea markets.
They shall all have extensive wardrobes including shoes and jewelry, I want these little girls to be very excited about their present they receive.
I decided to use refurbished dolls simply because there is so much waste and I also like taking a dirty naked doll and making her look all shiny new again!.
I love sewing and I have been having a great time sewing for the dollies!
More to come!
